Overview
Andrew lives in a small village nestled in rural Wales—an area frequently affected by severe Atlantic storms. These powerful weather systems often disrupt local infrastructure, resulting in electricity outages that can persist for as long as five days. This level of instability has made reliable access to power a significant concern for residents in the region.
In response to these challenges, Andrew began exploring ways to become more energy-independent. As an initial step, he installed a 3.8kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system, which provided a renewable and consistent source of electricity during daylight hours. Alongside this, he integrated a small air source heat pump to improve the efficiency of his home heating.

However, this would have required a complete overhaul of the current solar setup, leading to additional costs and delays.
Fortunately, the chosen HANCHU inverter is designed to operate alongside existing solar systems. This important compatibility feature not only eliminated the need for a full system replacement, but also allowed the customer to continue using their existing solar infrastructure. As a result, the family was able to store and use their solar energy within the new HANCHU battery system—without extra expense or extended downtime.
