Harnitek heat pump outside a home for a Warm Homes funding conversation
Warm Homes Grant

A whole-home funding route where local availability and eligibility come first.

The Warm Homes: Local Grant can support qualifying households with certain home-energy improvements. The current HEG page brings together insulation, heating, renewables and radiator upgrades; the important first step is checking whether your local council has live funding and whether your household and property meet its criteria.

A heat-pump conversation can include current grant pathways.

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme and Warm Homes routes have different rules. HEG can explain how a heating design fits the process, but neither route is guaranteed until eligibility is confirmed.

Clear information before you decide what happens next.

01

A local-authority route

Councils administer the route, so postcode coverage, local funding and household checks are essential before anyone can promise a measure or contribution.

02

A whole-home conversation

The source page rightly connects insulation, ventilation, heating controls, renewable technologies and radiator upgrades rather than treating heating in isolation.

03

Heating design remains important

If a heat pump is being considered, HEG still needs to assess heat loss, emitters, hot water, position and system controls.

A simple path from a useful starting point to a proper survey.

1

1. Check local availability

Start from current official guidance and your council route; this determines whether a funded pathway may exist.

2

2. Understand the home

Energy performance, existing systems and household circumstances all inform the eventual process.

3

3. Plan suitable work

Where heating is relevant, HEG can explain how a Harnitek heat pump and HeatBoost radiator conversation fits within a whole-home approach.

Grant guidance can change—use the official source alongside HEG’s practical help.

Availability, funding level, eligible measures and household criteria vary with current government and local-authority rules. HEG cannot guarantee a grant.

“Home Energy Group Ltd is the best. They went above and beyond to help me. A previous company botched fitted a VP panels and Battery Inverter system — Home Energy Group Ltd are the only company who willingly rectified all the previous installation ensuring everything was correct and safe. I will always recommend them.”

“Called quite a few companies re installing a battery storage system. Most were quite pushy. When I called HEG, I was given good, easy to understand helpful information. They answer the phone promptly and are always helpful. The two electricians that installed the system have done a good job and left the house clean.”
