It moves heat rather than burns fuel
The outdoor unit transfers available heat into the home’s heating and hot-water system. The result depends on design conditions, controls and how the system is used.

An air-source heat pump moves heat from outside air into a home heating and hot-water system. It works as part of a system, so a good installation starts with heat loss, radiator output, hot-water needs, property layout, pipework, outdoor location and controls—not simply the nameplate size of a unit.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme and Warm Homes routes have different rules. HEG can explain how a heating design fits the process, but neither route is guaranteed until eligibility is confirmed.

A heat pump can be considered in UK weather, but heat loss, insulation, outdoor position, hot water and emitter output all influence the final design.
Existing radiators are assessed for output at the intended flow temperature. HeatBoost can be one route where additional lower-temperature output is useful.
Outdoor air, refrigeration technology and a compressor are used to move heat into the home’s water-based heating circuit.
Electricity tariff, heat loss, flow temperature, hot-water habits and controls all matter, so HEG avoids generic savings promises.
The Heat Pump Tool gives a starting point; the survey confirms a design, package scope and any relevant funding pathway.

“Home Energy Group Ltd is the best. They went above and beyond to help me. A previous company botched fitted a VP panels and Battery Inverter system — Home Energy Group Ltd are the only company who willingly rectified all the previous installation ensuring everything was correct and safe. I will always recommend them.”
“Called quite a few companies re installing a battery storage system. Most were quite pushy. When I called HEG, I was given good, easy to understand helpful information. They answer the phone promptly and are always helpful. The two electricians that installed the system have done a good job and left the house clean.”
“Great service (thanks Tracy), transparent competitive pricing. Fast delivery. Very responsive.”
“Tracy from HEG stood out by providing a very competitive price along with clear, helpful information. The team's responsiveness and excellent aftercare have given me complete confidence that I made the right choice in choosing HEG.”
“Excellent sales knowledge of product and options with superb installation staff. Polite, efficient and professional.”
“They are clearly a quality business. I found the prices to be reasonable. They are easy to contact on the phone — we don't get that much these days! The engineer turned up on the planned day. He was really good and clearly cared about his work. I would fully recommend them.”
“Had problems with our solar set up. Knowledgeable, very responsive and saved us £££ on call out fees with a simple fix. Highly recommend.”
“From the initial survey right through to the installation, the whole team at HEG were brilliant. The engineers were tidy, professional and explained everything clearly. Couldn't be happier with our solar panels.”
